Mission statement for Suffrage Coalition Inc.’s Project: Women’s Suffrage Museum – Events & Culture Center - Locate and preserve the epic history of the movement that brought democracy to the other half of our citizens. Use accurate, immersive storytelling to inspire future generations to value their rights and faithfully perform their duties as citizens.

The Burn Memorial

The Suffrage Coalition raised more than $500,000 to build what is now one of the state's most prized landmarks - The Burn Memorial.  Located just steps from the Tennessee Woman Suffrage Memorial on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville, it honors the legacy of Representative Harry T. Burn and his mother, Febb whose letter to her son changed the course of American politics.
