OUR VISION
The Women’s Suffrage Museum will be more than a building — it will be a place where history, education, and inspiration come together. Opening in 2028 in downtown Knoxville, the museum will honor the legacy of the suffragists while creating a space that empowers future generations to carry the torch of equality.
What We Envision
- Preserve History: Protect and showcase over 1000 priceless artifacts that tell the story of the suffrage movement.
- Educate & Inspire: Offer exhibits, programs, and events that connect past struggles to present-day conversations about democracy and civic engagement.
- Celebrate Tennessee: Highlight Tennessee’s decisive role as the “Perfect 36” in ratifying the 19th Amendment, making Knoxville the rightful home of this landmark museum.
- Empower the Future: Create a space where visitors of all ages see themselves in the story of suffrage — and leave inspired to shape the future of equality.
A Legacy for Generations
Our vision is to ensure that the courage, determination, and achievements of the suffragists are never forgotten. By building this museum, we are not just preserving the past — we are investing in a stronger, more inclusive future for all.
